MASON, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A judge says he'll announce in two weeks whether the father of a missing West Michigan baby will be tried on a murder charges.
Thursday was a continuation of the probable cause hearing for 24-year-old Sean Phillips.
He's been charged with open murder in connection to the 2011 disappearance of his 4-month-old daughter Katherine, known around West Michigan as "Baby Kate."
The hearing was adjourned for three months to give the defense time to analyze an unsigned letter.
The baby's mother claims it was from Sean Phillips admitting he accidentally killed Kate.
The judge says he'll weigh the testimony before making his decision on whether to try Phillips.
