Autopsy planned for body recovered from St. Joseph River
CONSTANTINE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - An autopsy is planned Tuesday on the body of a 66-year-old man recovered from the St. Joseph River.
Crews began searching the river near Oxbow Road in Constantine early Sunday morning.
His body was recovered Monday afternoon.
Deputies say Tommy McDonald was fishing with his son when he stood up in the boat, causing it to capsize.
Both men went into the water. The son tried to save his father, but the current was too strong.
