Arrest made in possible Berrien Co. child abuse case
BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police have arrested a 33-year-old Berrien County resident in connection with a child abuse investigation in Weesaw Township.
On Thursday, Michigan State Police responded to a possible child abuse call incident.
Initial investigation indicated that a 3-month-old infant had sustained critical injuries to the skull.
The infant was treated at Lakeland Hospital, in St. Joseph, before being transferred to Helen DeVos Childrens Hospital, in Grand Rapids.
The infant is reported to be stable as of Friday morning.
The case remains under investigation at this time.
