An Allegan County man has hit a windfall, scoring $25,000 a year for life after hitting it big in Michigan Lottery's Lucky For Life game.

Plainwell's David Marsh hit on 09-11-26-33-38 to win, becoming the 20th winner of the Lucky For Life prize in Michigan. Marsh chose to take his prize in a lump sum, which totaled to $390,000 rather than the annual payouts of $25,000 for 20 years.

“I was just stunned when I checked my ticket,” Marsh said. “I raised four kids on my own, and then took care of my aging parents, so I’ve never really had much for myself," Marsh said in a press release.

Marsh was so stunned from his good fortune that he actually second-guessed himself.

“I work third shift and bought my ticket on the way home from work. While I was at work, I called the Lottery hotline at about 2 a.m. to get the numbers. When I saw I matched five of them on my ticket, I called the hotline again to make sure I had written them down right," Marsh said in the release.

Marsh says he plans to buy a new home, share the wealth with his family and invest the remaining balance.
