Allegan Co. assistant dispatcher arrested under super drunk law
ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A person with a position of authority for Allegan County dispatch is arrested for drunk driving.
Police say Assistant Director Jan Goswick was taken into custody this weekend in Otsego.
Newschannel 3's Jared Werksma is live outside the Otsego Police Department with details on the charges she now faces.
We've confirmed with our sources that Goswick was pulled over early Saturday morning by Otsego police for suspicion of driving under the influence. Sources also say her preliminary breath test put her blood alcohol at more than double the legal limit, or super drunk, according to state law.
Allegan County human resources director Vickie Herzberg says, "She was with some friends, family and that she was pulled over and was arrested and has been in jail. She was not on the clock, she was not on call, she was in no company vehicles."
Newschannel 3 expects Goswick to be arraigned on super drunk charges Monday in Allegan County. Once we have more info, we will pass it along.
