15 people arrested in St. Joseph County drug sweep operation
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. —
Conducting an operation called Night Hawk, the St. Joseph County Area Narcotics Unit arrested 15 people Monday, all of whom now face drug and other charges.
St. Joseph County Sheriff Bradley Balk said the Michigan Department of Corrections Parole & Probation unit assisted in the sweep, and investigators will be seeking additional charges against other suspects.
All of those arrested Monday were taken to the St Joseph County jail on parole and probation violations. Charges also were requested related to distribution and use of methamphetamine and marijuana.
Several of those arrested had outstanding warrants from St Joseph County, surrounding counties and the Friend of the Court.
Also assisting in the operation was the St. Joseph County Road Patrol.
