Video shows Bangor teachers, staff inappropriately talking about special needs students
BANGOR, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - An investigation is underway in Bangor after video surfaces of Bangor teachers and staff inappropriately talking about special needs students.
Right now, Bangor Police are questioning some of the staff members seen on this tape.
This comes after multiple parents have come forward.
They are upset that the teachers are publicly talking about having inappropriate relations with students. Some of the students mentioned are special needs students.
We have blurred the faces of the people on the tape because they have not been criminally charged.
The video was taken at the Bangor Tavern by a concerned neighbor who knew what the teachers were talking about.
We're told that many in the Bangor community are upset something like this would happen.
In the meantime, police are investigating, and we have reached out to district officials to see if the teachers are still in the classroom, and if any disciplinary action will be taken.
We have not heard back from district officials just yet.
However, we have spoken with parents of the students mentioned. They are very upset and are hoping some action is taken.
The next Bangor Board of Education meeting is tonight at 6 p.m., and Newschannel 3 will be there.
