Ottawa Co. group working to train people to use medication to relieve overdose effects
(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - In West Michigan, the community of mental health Ottawa County is working to train people on how to use medication that temporarily reverses the overdose effects.
It was created to provide time to get the victim medical attention.
The Red Project staff is providing a free 15-minute training to people who want to learn how to use the Naloxone rescue kit.
Training happens on the second Friday of every month, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Community of Mental Health in Ottawa County.
