Study finds link between sugary beverages and stroke or Alzheimer's

BOSTON (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - People who drink diet soda daily are almost three times more likely to develop stroke and Alzheimer's disease, according to researchers from Boston University.

The study also found that people who often drink sugary beverages--such as sodas and fruit juices--are more likely to have a poor memory.

Researchers stress these findings do not prove the drinks cause the memory or heart issues, but that there's a link.
