Infant sleep machines could lead to hearing loss

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - According to a study in the Journal Pediatrics, popular infant sleep machines may contribute to a baby's hearing loss.

Researchers tested 14-machines and found they exceed the current recommended noise limit for babies.

Experts say that can affect hearing, speech and language development.

The study suggests moving the noise machines at least six feet away from infants.
