Health officials give warning over West Nile Virus

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Health officials are reminding people to watch out for mosquitoes as summer wraps up.

Local health officials say the end of summer mosquitoes are older and more likely to carry the West Nile Virus.

Officials say remember to apply insect repellent when you go outside.

Also, avoid shaded and wooded areas and to wear long-sleeved shirts, long pants, socks and shoes when you are outdoors.
