Cancer set to pass heart disease as top cause of death

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - According to a new report from the American Society of Clinical Oncology, by 2030 cancer will surpass heart disease as the number one cause of death in the U.S.

The number of new cancer cases is expected to increase by 45-percent to 2.3-million cases a year.

The good news is the number of cancer survivors is also expected to grow.
