KENT COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police are now releasing dashcam video showing a chase with the suspect in a Kent County murder-suicide.

The chase started after plain clothes detectives surrounded Brady Oestrike's home in Wyoming waiting for a search warrant.

The officers observing him called in for uniform patrols to make a traffic stop.

But when officers approached the vehicle he took off east on Burton Street.

Police say he ran through red lights at high speeds for around 60 seconds until he crashed at the 131 overpass.

When officers approached the car Oestrike was dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Police then discovered the body of 18-year-old Brooke Slocum in the trunk.

They say Oestrike had strangled her, killing Slocum and her unborn baby.

Days earlier police say he decapitated her 25-year-old boyfriend Charles Oppenneer.

Police say the couple had planned to meet Oestrike for sex at Gezon Park in Wyoming, after connecting on Craigslist.
