GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police in Grand Rapids have brought a man into custody after a barricade situation Tuesday night.

Police set up a perimeter around a home on Grand Avenue, near Fountain Street early that evening, reportedly related to a robbery at Lake Michigan Credit Union on Jefferson Ave. SE on Monday.

Police say the man passed a note to a teller, which mentioned he had a weapon, before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Grand Rapids Police reported just before 9:00 p.m. that the barricaded suspect was taken into custody without further incident.

It is not yet confirmed whether or not the barricaded suspect is, in fact, related to the robbery.
