GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Supporters of immigration reform are taking their message of solidarity to the streets of Grand Rapids Friday.

Immigrants and activists will be forming a human prayer chain starting around 5:00 at the corner of Burton and Division.

It will proceed to Madison Square Church. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 and then a candle light procession of hope back towards Division around 9:00pm.

We now know some of those immigrant children will soon be housed on the east side of the state.

The federal government will place 24 children from Central America in Bay City for 90-days.

Meanwhile, the House abandoned a vote on legislation to address the immigration crisis on the border.

Congress is now on a five week summer break, with no resolution.
