LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY

UNTIL 9 PM

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY for Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Berrien, Cass, and St. Joe counties until 9 PM.  2" to 6" of snow are possible on northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph bringing lake effect snow bands near and across US 131, at times.  Some locations will see more than 6", especially closer to Lake Michigan.  Roads are slippery and become more tricky once the sun sets.

Single-lane closure on M-89

ALLEGAN, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - In Allegan, drivers need to watch out for a single-lane closure on M-89 on the bridge over the Kalamazoo River.

Crews will be repairing the bridge.

The work begins Monday and wraps up on Thursday.
