DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Until 10 AM

The National Weather Service issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for all of West Michigan until 10 AM.  Fog may linger in some locations until midday.  Light winds, ample moisture near the ground are encouraging the formation of dense fog.  Because temperatures are near freezing, a light coating of ice may form on some road surfaces making them slick.  Please keep it safe this morning as you head back to work and school.

Saranac man dies in ATV Crash

IONIA COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Deputies from the Ionia County Sheriff's office are investigating an ATV crash that killed a man.

The crash happened around midnight Friday in a wooded area just north of Sayles Road between Johnson Road and Hawley Highway.

Dispatch told crews on their way to the scene, the 36 year old Saranac man had stopped breathing.

Witnesses say they think the man was trying to climb a steep hill and was going to fast when he got to the top.

The ATV hit a large fallen tree branch and went over the edge of the ravine.

The accident remains under investigation.
