DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Until 10 AM

The National Weather Service issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for all of West Michigan until 10 AM.  Fog may linger in some locations until midday.  Light winds, ample moisture near the ground are encouraging the formation of dense fog.  Because temperatures are near freezing, a light coating of ice may form on some road surfaces making them slick.  Please keep it safe this morning as you head back to work and school.

CASCO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police have identified the pilot of a fatal plane crash that happened in Casco Township in Allegan County Monday.

45-year-old Craig Ewing of Hastings died just after noon Monday when his sport craft plane went down near 111th Avenue and 68th Street between South Haven and Saugatuck.

Witnesses who called 911 say they heard a loud bang and saw what appeared to be a wing falling from the sky.

The pilot and his sport craft plane were found a short time later in a cornfield.

State police say Ewing left Lansing, Illinois Monday morning and was headed back to the Hastings area.
