DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Until 10 AM

The National Weather Service issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for all of West Michigan until 10 AM.  Fog may linger in some locations until midday.  Light winds, ample moisture near the ground are encouraging the formation of dense fog.  Because temperatures are near freezing, a light coating of ice may form on some road surfaces making them slick.  Please keep it safe this morning as you head back to work and school.

Michigan police: Toddler left outside in rainstorm story image

MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) - Police in western Michigan say a drunk woman left a toddler outside in a rainstorm while she was inside a home.

Muskegon County Prosecutor D.J. Hilson says the 24-year-old Muskegon woman's daughter and two other children have been removed from her care.

According to a Muskegon police report, the 18-month-old girl was found by officers in the yard Tuesday "soaking wet from strong rainstorms that came through the area."

The report says the toddler was outside for at least 45 minutes and was wearing only a diaper while sitting in a stroller. She did not suffer any "permanent injury or damage."

It's not clear whether the mother of the children will face criminal charges.
