DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Until 11 AM

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY until 11 AM for nearly every county in West Michigan save for our Indiana bordering counties of Berrien, Cass, St. Joe, and Branch.  It doesn't mean it won't be foggy there!  The combination of yesterday evening's rainfall, light winds while you were sleeping, and our unusually cool airmass is a near perfect recipe for visibilities under a mile and perhaps as low as 1/4 mile.  This is enough to change how you drive.  Please keep it safe this morning, and slow it down if you can.  Stay with wwmt.com for your weather!

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - You've probably seen the ice bucket challenge viral campaign -- raising money to fight ALS -- on TV or on your Facebook news feed.

That's not the only effort to raise money and awareness to fight Lou Gehrig's disease. Next weekend, people will lace up their shoes for the three-mile Walk to Defeat ALS at Portage West Middle School.

ALS Association Executive Director Paula Morning discussed Saturday's major fundraiser.
