GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Deputies in Ottawa County are investigating a serious crash.

It happened Thursday around 6:15am at the intersection of 172nd Ave. and Comstock Street in Grand Haven.

Investigators say that 27-year-old Princess Warren was going southbound on 172nd. Police say she was driving with no lights on and went through a red light.

Her car was broadsided by a pick-up truck driven by a 59-year-old man who had the green light.

Warren was unconscious and pinned inside her vehicle after the crash. She was flown to the hospital by an Areomed helicopter with life-threatening injuries.

Police say that they later discovered that Warren was involved in a shoplifting incident at the Meijer on US-31 and was fleeing when the crash occurred.
