SEATTLE (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The University of Washington is using video games to try to find a cure for some of the world's worst diseases, like ebola.

Biochemistry students are joining with gamers who play Fold-It, a video game that lets players tackle science puzzles.

The ebola challenge allows gamers to fold a protein into the best shape and position to catch the ebola virus.

The results from the game then give researchers a good starting place for creating a drug.
