US, Cuba to normalize relations  The United States and Cuba have agreed to re-establish diplomatic relations and open economic and travel ties, marking a historic shift in U.S. policy toward the communist island after a half-century of enmity dating back to the Cold War, American officials said Wednesday.

Suspect in shooting spree arrested

LOS ANGELES (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Los Angeles authorities believe that a man in custody randomly shot seven people over five days, killing four of them.

They're now calling 34-year-old Alexander Hernandez a serial killer.

He has been charged with one count of capital murder, two counts of attempted murder and animal cruelty, for allegedly shooting two dogs.

The shootings began early last Wednesday.
