FROST ADVISORY

UNTIL 9 AM

The National Weather Service maintains a FROST ADVISORY in Muskegon, Ottawa, Kent, Ionia, Allegan, Barry, Eaton, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Berrien, Cass, St. Joe, and Branch counties until 9 AM.  Early morning temperatures are already at or slightly above the freezing mark, which encourages frost.  It's reasonable for temperatures to fall through the 7 AM hour, and a light freeze is also possible.  Hopefully, plants and flowers were covered last night or brought inside for protection.

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The severe drought in the southwest is pushing some cities to try to make their own rain.

They're sending planes up on cloud seeding missions, in an effort to get rain on the ground.

Omar Villafranca went up with one plane to see how it works.
