LIBERIA (NEWSCAHNNEL 3) - Fear over Ebola may have just made the crisis worse.

A panicked mob raided an Ebola isolation ward and looted the clinic.

They took contaminated equipment and bloody sheets and mattresses, which could further spread the deadly virus.

More than two dozen patients also in quarantine took off.

Already the death toll is well over 1000, and the number of cases is nearly doubled to 2000.
