Judge: No shoes, no shirt, no court date story image

PENNSYLVANIA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - No shoes, no shirt, no court date, that's the rules one Pennsylvania judge has set for his courthouse.

"You look like you just don't care about yourself. You could borrow a suit or buy a shirt or tie. Just a shirt and a tie will make people look at you differently and treat your different," said one man.

The judge says he's fed up with people coming in looking like they just rolled out of bed.

One lawyer says the attire that some people wear in court is getting so out of hand he's even seen a man come in with a Budweiser T-shirt as he plead "not guilty" to a DUI.

Lawyers say it's all about being mindful and remembering it only takes seconds to get a first impression.
