HIGH WIND WARNING; WIND ADVISORY

WARNING Until 11 PM; ADVISORY Until 2 AM

The National Weather Service in northern Indiana issues a HIGH WIND WARNING in Berrien county until 11 PM for 60 mph, or higher, wind gusts.  65 mph gusts have already been confirmed in Michigan City.  

A WIND ADVISORY remains for nearly all of West Michigan until 2 AM.  45 mph to 55 mph gusts are likely and have already verified.  Downed tree branches and some power outages are possible.  The wind direction is from the north, and winds will easily be sustained in the 25 to 35 mph range.

FORT COLLINS, Colorado (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - According to a national study, the safest drivers are in Colorado.

Allstate released its America's Safest Driving City and Fort Collins, Colorado is number one for the fourth time in a decade.

The study assesses drivers in the 200 largest U.S. cities based on analysis of claims data. That determines the places with the greatest frequency of collisions when factoring in weather conditions, traffic volume and population.

The worst drivers on the list were in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Detroit also made the list at 104th place and Grand Rapids came in 116th place in the safest cities to drive in.
