LONDON (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - What if you could charge your phone with the noise around you?

Scientists at Queen Mary University of London and Nokia are working to develop a prototype charger that could replenish the battery of a cell phone using human voices, music or even background noise!

To harvest energy from sound, the team used a type of nanotechnology capable of generating electrical energy and responding to vibration in sound.

So far, researchers have been able to generate enough electricity to charge one phone.
