DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Until 10 AM

The National Weather Service issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for all of West Michigan until 10 AM.  Fog may linger in some locations until midday.  Light winds, ample moisture near the ground are encouraging the formation of dense fog.  Because temperatures are near freezing, a light coating of ice may form on some road surfaces making them slick.  Please keep it safe this morning as you head back to work and school.

Baby found dumped in trash can story image

UTAH (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A 23-year-old Utah mother is behind bars after police say she dumped her newborn baby in a trash can.

Alicia Englert has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

The day-old baby girl was found Tuesday by a woman who heard what she thought was a kitten meowing.

The infant is in critical condition.

Authorities say they don't have any information about where the mother gave birth or why she may have left the baby in the trash can.

A Utah state law allows mothers to drop off newborns at hospitals without consequences.
