DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Effective Until 11 AM

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY until 11 AM for nearly every county in West Michigan save for Berrien, Cass, St. Joe, and Branch counties.  Recent, heavy rainfall, and light winds are the perfect combination for fog production.  Visibilities may be as low as 1/4 mile or lower; that's enough to drastically change how you drive.  Please keep it safe this morning and travel slower, if you have to.  Additional stopping distance isn't a bad idea either.  Stay with wwmt.com for the latest weather updates!

It's called Storycorps--the military voices initiative. And it's a nationwide effort to preserve the stories of America's veterans.

The project, which partners with WMU and KVCC, starts Tuesday, and runs through Thursday.

Included in the project is recordings of one-on-one conversations between veterans, their family, and friends.

Storycorps is sponsored by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and Boeing.

The plan is to record 1,500 people across the country.

NPR has been airing the series since November 2012.
