VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Female volunteers in Van Buren County are joining women across the United States this week to build affordable housing in their communities.
The all women Habitat for Humanity crew has been working on a home in South Haven since Monday.
It's part of National Women Build Week.
Now, they're working to completely remodel a current home, and the main focus for Tuesday was painting.
The house will be going to a family of 5.
Volunteers say this is a special time, with women working together to give families hope.
Habitat is working on two other homes right now as well: one in Covert, and another in Paw Paw.
The South Haven family will move in at the end of June.
