Study: Raw garlic may reduce lung cancer risk story image
CHINA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A new study says chowing down on raw garlic could cut your risk of lung cancer nearly in half.

Researchers in China found that people who eat raw garlic twice a week lowered their risk of lung cancer by 44-percent.

They believe it's due to an antioxidant chemical that's activated when the garlic clove is crushed.

They're now using this discovery to figure out all the ways it can be used as a preventative measure for cancer.
