Research: Gym may help us think better too

EAST LANSING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Hitting the gym makes us feel better physically, but new research suggests it may also make us think better too.

The research, from Michigan State University, looked at college kids and showed a powerful link between those who had fitness memberships and those who got good grades.

They found the students who were members of the gym or were involved in sports during the first two years of college went on to have higher GPA's overall.

Those who had memberships were also less likely to drop out of school than those who did not have memberships.
