Delayed unemployment numbers released

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - After a two week delay caused by the government shutdown the monthly employment report is released by the Labor Department Tuesday.
Numbers were strong enough to push the unemployment rate down one tenth of a point to 7.2 percent, the lowest it's been in almost five years.
But part of the reason for the drop is that more people stopped looking for work, they're no longer counted as unemployed.
Employers added a modest 148,000 jobs last month, which could go up with the next report as retailers make holiday season hires.
