Jay-Z and Beyonce redux tour to include stop at Ford Field in Detroit

The recently announced "On the Run II" tour, a reprise of Jay-Z and Beyonce's 2014 event, will include an Aug. 13 performance at Ford Field in Detroit.

The Detroit stop was announced Monday by Ford Field.

Earlier, Jay-Z and Beyonce had announced they'll hit the road together for a tour that lands in 15 cities this summer and fall.

The hip-hop super couple will kick off their "On the Run II" tour June 6 in Cardiff, Wales. The tour also will hit several other venues in United Kingdom and Europe as well as 21 cities in North America, including Boston, Detroit, New Orleans, Houston, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Miami.

Tickets go on sale to the general public starting March 19. For the Detroit show, Citi, TIDAL, and Beyhive pre-sales begin March 14.

The tour is a reprise of the couple's joint 2014 six-week "On the Run" tour across North America and two dates in Paris, which were filmed for an HBO special. This time the tour will end Oct. 2 in Vancouver.
