FBI: Call us if you have any info on gunman who died in shooting
WASHINGTON - The FBI is asking for the public's help in their investigation of a shooting at a Congressional baseball practice Wednesday morning.
The shooting left a number of players injured, including Rep. Steve Scalise (R- Louisiana) - who was listed in critical condition after an afternoon surgery.
James Hodgkinson, 66, of Belleville, Ill. died at the hospital after Capitol Police returned fire.
In a release, the FBI said they were investigating "his associates, whereabouts, social media impressions, and potential motivations. This is an active investigation that continues to unfold."
The 66-year-old man previously volunteered on Sen. Bernie Sanders' (I- Vermont) presidential campaign in 2016.
Sanders condemned the shooters acts on Capitol Hill.
