Originally Founded in 1913 by Edward and Anna (Gilman) Joldersma. As licensed funeral directors Dan and Gabe Adams began working at Joldersma and Klein in 2007 and were excited at purchasing the funeral home in 2009. Dan lives above the funeral home with his Wife Kylee and three children Ella, Owen and David. Dan serves as Manager and Kylee Receptionist. They believe that Joldersma and Klein is a funeral home families come to when they want to be treated like family and that providing great personal service at a fair price is the foundation of creating a funeral home that is family owned, operated, and oriented. When not serving families, “We enjoy spending time with our children, being outdoors, attending sporting and theater events, and relaxing at his parents’ home on Fishers Lake.” Dan and his wife are members of First United Methodist Church on Park St., and he is a member of Rotary International. About Our Services
Every family is unique, and every family member is special in thier own way. We offer a variety of funeral service options and walk side by side with you to make sure your loved one is given a funeral that is both dignified and appropriate.
Traditional Funeral Services
Family and Friends say goodbye with the body of their loved one present. Visitation occurs typically the night before or a couple hours prior to the service or mass. There are no rules on where visitation and funeral take place, folks use will use a church, funeral home and private residence. At the end of the service, the body is typically laid to rest in a cemetery.
Similar to the traditional service in that it provides time for family and friends to share memories and healing moments of laughter and tears. Typically, cremation has taken place, and an urn or memorial photo is often used to represent the deceased. Because there is no body present, a memorial service can be held anywhere. Appropriate locations that have been used for Memorial Services: chapel, lakeshore or riverbank at sunset, a favorite golf course or public park, as well as your own back yard. We will help you in organizing, planning, and bringing the perfect amount of meaning and detail to the service or celebration.
Direct Cremation Services
Some families chose this type of service out of personal preference, and others out of a financial need, in either case, we work hard to keep the price of our direct cremation low, and promise the same service and personal attention we give to all families.
