Community Response High for Baby Supply Drive

Concord, VA - Gleaning for the World says the community has been very generous so far in donating baby supplies.

Friday morning, directors with the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank picked up a pallet of supplies that have been collected so far.

Reverend Ron Davidson says they've already seen how families are being helped, including one that came to them needing a specific type of formula.

"Where would that have family have gone if Gleaning hadn't been here, and how many other families that weekend needed the help that we didn't know about, so the baby supply has been started to meet that need of just the young families hurting," said Davidson.

The next collection weekend is March 17th though 19th. You can stop by the Kroger on Wards Road and the Kroger in Forest.

Supplies are also being collected at Thomas Road Baptist Church through February 27th.
