The government shutdown showdown continues

WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - We're less than 24-hours away from a possible shutdown of the federal government.

At midnight Monday night the current budget expires and the U.S. Congress can't seem to find a compromise to keep the government running.

Even though the government runs out of money Monday night at midnight, the Senate doesn't have plans to come into session until Monday afternoon.

And Senate democrats are vowing to reject what the House sent them this weekend because it would delay the health care law for a year.

Both sides are running out of time to find a compromise.
