President highlights benefits of health care law

WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - With an enrollment deadline fast approaching, President Obama is on a new push to highlight the benefits of his health care law.

"This law is working, and will work in the future. People want the financial stability of health insurance and we're gonna keep on working to fix whatever problems come up," said President Obama.

The president is launching a three-week campaign to get people to sign up for the Affordable Care Act.

Administration officials say the issues with the problem-plagued web site are fixed.

But the president says critics don't want it to succeed.

Consumers have to sign up by December 23rd to get coverage that starts on January first.

All Americans must be enrolled by March 31st to avoid a financial penalty.
